Spokane Digestive Invests in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Enhance Colorectal Cancer Screening
Our Endoscopy Center was one of the first in the region to deploy GI Genius™ intelligent endoscopy. It is the first and only computer-assisted detection system in the U.S. using AI to help identify colorectal polyps. The GI GeniusTM module analyzes the video feed from the endoscope in real time and works by instantly “painting a green box” around potential abnormalities to ensure suspected polyps are evaluated by the endoscopist. The adenoma detection rate (ADR) is the national standard for measuring colonoscopy screening quality. Spokane Digestive’s ADR rates exceed the national benchmarks for quality.
