The front desk lady was efficient, friendly, charming, and not at all like the robotic folks we encounter so often these days. The nurses, aides, nurse anesthetist, and doctor were all professional, attentive, explanatory and engaging. Having worked in health care myself, I felt like a thank you goes a long way. The complainers are quick to criticize and lay blame, and all too often words of praise are not passed on. Keep up the good work!

Having been a patient at SDDC Since 2004 or 2005, I would like to comment on a medical assistant named Cody. Most of the reviews are about the Doctors, but I feel the assistants probably don't get the recognition they deserve. Cody has been instrumental in my care. She always takes the time to answer any questions about upcoming appointments or if there are any issues she takes it upon herself to get those issues resolved. Living 3 hours from Spokane, sometimes the logistics of getting all my appointments coordinated takes a great deal of effort on Cody's part. She has promptly returned numerous phone calls when I have needed to change the original plan. There are not enough words to say how much my wife and I appreciate all that Cody has done for us. Cody is worth her weight in gold... don't ever let her leave.

My sincere thanks to Dr. Kestell and his team--who were all professional, kind, and reassuring during my procedure on Friday, Sept. 6. I appreciate the fact that Jeanelle (RN) immediately reduced my anxiety by her efficiency and warmth. Mallory (RN) prepared me for the IV and made me feel more comfortable. Both exhibited a sense of humor and proficiency that inspired confidence. Dr. Kestell conversed with me before and after the procedure; he's obviously a very kind and skillful practitioner. The nurse, Lenora, and anesthetist, Heath, also helped me trust the process would go well...and they, too, showed their commitment to the patient's welfare. I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Kestell and his special team as my health care professionals.

My colonoscopy was done in May, 2019. It is very important for me to thank the staff that cared for me for I feel as if I received exceptional care. Front desk was very directive, Tia. Jeanelle was beyond caring throughout the procedure. Lenora introduced herself as well as Meg CRNA , anesthesia. I have never felt so relaxed . Meg looked straight in my eyes and said I will take great care of you, she did. Dr Robert Durnford, MD and his team are beyond efficient. It was a privilege to have such a polished medical team. By the way, directions for prep before procedure were very clear, I drank warm water in between the prep, it helped. Thank you all, I would recommend to everyone .

If you're a new patient (during covid) you are NOT a priority. I'm so disappointed with the excuse they gave me for why my appointment was missed. I now need to wait another couple months for another "new appt", because I'm not established yet??? I'm still in pain! Unprofessional, uncaring & inconsiderate of my health needs. Apparently, covid is the patients fault??? When you need multiple doctors who each have their own way to link to their individual video apps (that you have to load on your computer & other programs you might need to load (ex Firefox) to even get it????) Let's not forget their own patient portals that you now have to communicate through, it gets o v e r w h e l m i n g. We just WANT TO GET BETTER!!! The burden still falls on the patient - even if the Drs don't send out the email you need or they don't call the right contact number, you simply lose your long awaited appointment. How about the Dr assert a little effort too during this "pandemic"? Maybe try calling the MAIN contact phone number vs the secondary phone number - that I never gave them -- that two digits off my main phone number?!?!? Seriously??? 1. Someone reached me to make the appointment. 2. The intake nurse reached me for my pre-visit that morning. 3. Two of your other employees reached me after my "missed" appt call. But the Dr couldn't reach me??? Dear Lord people, no one remembers the PATIENT is there because they are SICK & NEED HELP!!!

Kery, Jo, Ciara, Heath and Dr. Durnford took good care of me during my colonoscopy yesterday. They treated me with respect and friendliness and answered all my questions. The procedure went well, and I awoke from the sedation without a problem. Even the prep (in my past experience, a ghastly process) wasn't bad at all. The week of low-fiber diet followed by the liquid diet and prep solution was pretty easy to tolerate. The prep solution they are prescribing now was MUCH easier for me than the previous Fleet solution. So, good job, Spokane Digestive! Thank you!

Dr Hong treated me fine in years past. However, after my esophageal hernia surgery, I was experiencing some problems resulting in acid reflux again (which was corrected for about 4 months after surgery). I had difficulty swallowing & he conducted tests again, saying over and over again he didn’t think he would find any “blockage.” I felt like I was wasting his time & he just blew me off, even after it was discovered that the band had slipped and my problem was back. I am miserable again & don’t know where to turn since he made it very clear saying over & over that the surgery cannot be done again. The staff is kind & professional but Dr Hong acted like a unsympathetic doctor in a hurry onto the next. Disappointed & frustratedl.

Dr. Stone was wonderful. He asked questions about how I was feeling and any issues I had going on. Loved his music. Dr. Gunselman administered the anesthesia and I was out in seconds, I had no bad reactions when I woke up, felt really good by mid day. The nurse's Holly, Lanssa and Sami were so kind and gentle. Review/Comments: I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to the extreme professionalism of my care team on May 15th, 2019--Jeanelle (pre and post procedure), Kelli (pre and post procedure), Jo (procedure RN), Austin (anesthesia), and Doctor Hong. Each care team member was friendly, caring, professional, and comforting. I appreciated the genuine concern for my comfort and well-being from beginning to end, as well as my ability to ask questions and to receive appropriate answers and feedback regarding the procedure and the diagnosis. Each care team member is obviously very committed and professional--as individuals and as a team. And, each care team member is truly a positive asset to the Spokane Digestive Center, and the entire medical profession. Finally, I truly want to emphasize that the positive, friendly, and professional demeanors and performed responsibilities of each care team member was immensely appreciated. Right from the start provided good information on preparing for the procedure which made the experience going through the Gavilyte not that bad at all. At the clinic everyone from Jo to Stephanie ... to Katina and Sara ... all the way up to Dr. Durnford provided incredible care. There was a lot of communication so no unexpected events ... and post procedure was very smooth and on my way out in no time with no issues since.

Spokane Digesive has been very responsive to my needs. Julie is so on top of things that if I need something I know I can count on her every time. I have had three doctors since starting with Spokane Digestive....and soon will start with a fourth! Although the first doctor was not a good experience, Dr. Goodell and Dr. Kestell were excellent. Unfortunately, both have left the practice. It is difficult to start with another doctor but one thing that has made it much easier is dealing with the same Medical Assistant, Alex, who is exceptional. She has the background and is consistent with patient history. One thing I appreciate most about Alex is her follow through. She always returns calls and follows through with everything you ask her about, and in a very timely manner.

First rate, top shelf customer service! Kim Smithers sensed my apprehension from the beginning of our conversation and very quickly quelled my concerns and helped me to relax and feel more comfortable about my upcoming procedure. In a society that has all but lost its sense of civility and compassion this young lady deserves to be recognized for superior customer service skills. Truly appreciated.

I just wanted to complement the providers and staff in this office for their professionalism and amazing care. I had a colonoscopy last week and was very impressed with the check-in, the pre and post op care with nurse, Tiffany, Dr. Cambareri, who administered my anesthesia, procedure RN, Lenora and for Dr Jim Goff. From start to finish I spent approximately 90 minutes in their office ~ quick and efficient! It was very apparent that everyone in this office is happy to be working there and really enjoys their job. That’s huge in the healthcare industry these days!

We have had a very good experience at Spokane Digestive Center thanks in large part to nurse Julie. Julie has consistently gone above and beyond to provide support, answer questions and resolve any issues we might have. Most recently we had an unexpected change of insurance at a critical time in our family member's care. Julie understood the challenges of the situation and helped to get things resolved quickly so that care was not interrupted. And she did so with her usual good natured attitude.

For years I'd seen Dr Goodell, after he retired I saw Dr Fernandez who was wonderful as was Dr Goodell. Now I understand Dr Fernandez has left the practice which is everyones loss. However, I will remain a patient as I have always had wonderful courteous professional and caring treatment from everyone in your office. Its especially nice when you arrive at 7 AM with no food after you've been purging yourself for the colonoscopy. I'll await the next physician I'll be seeing.
